Meet Ninja

  



Hey Yall! My name is Ninja. No, my mother didn’t name me that, it’s my road name given to me by a brother rider. Yes, I ride my own motorcycle. I’m also a volunteer firefighter and so I belong to Red Knights which is the largest firefighter motorcycle club in the world. That’s how I met the rest of the beautiful sisters in the Traveling Tribe!

    Less than a year and a half ago I married the love of my life. We had the most amazing wedding and were married barefoot on the beach in Barbados! It was amazingly perfect! My husband is a retired police officer and he is also a volunteer firefighter that rides a motorcycle. Our story is a motorcycle club love story! 

     Okay, so the real job that pays my bills and for my vacations is that I am an ER Nurse. I have been a nurse for almost 15 years. I still love what I do most of the time but like in any job, there are good days and bad days. Currently, I am on my first travel nurse assignment in Miami which is fun and exciting. I am blessed that my husband was able to come with me. Also with me is our very spoiled chocolate lab named Coco. 

   Another random fact about me is that I co-own a bakery in Vermont with my mother. So, I can save lives as a nurse or a firefighter and can also bake you a cake. I think it’s all such an interesting combination, don’t you? 

   Anyways, that’s a little about me. My life is usually a crazy whirlwind with lots of adventures with my husband and with my Tribe. I look forward to sharing more with all of you!

Welcome to the Tribe…

​The Traveling Tribe… This tribe is made up of 5 beautiful, inspirational, talented, and empowering women who are all in different stages of life! The tribe is composed of 4 married ladies (all fire/police wives) and one that is almost married.  Some are small business owners, one is a medical professional and also a kickass firefighter, one just left a retail job with over a decade in the field, and another is counting the days till retirement (well all of us are in some way shape, or form), but one definitely can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it ain't no train!  A few ladies have been divorced, we have all had our share of heartbreak, dealt with mental health issues, lost a job or two, some attended college, some raised kids, a few have overcome medical issues, had financial struggles, fought demons and some are still fighting, and one is just a crazy plant lover, and we have all learned a lot along the way. Just the beginning

Just the beginning    Part 3: Accident series I was finally home after 16 days in the hospital.  Seeing the new wheelchair ramp that was built by our fire family made me cry.  Crying because it was built with love and support.  Crying because this is my new normal until I work my way out of the chair.   When I finally got inside, I got to see my fur babies.  Obviously, they  didn’t  understand why they couldn’t jump all over me, so they lay beside me on the floor.  They would occasionally bump my hand to ensure  I was still there.   Then the medical equipment started appearing.  Nothing ruins your dignity more than having a portable toilet beside your bed.  Though I will say I had fun making Woody uncomfortable by staring at him while sitting there!  HAHA!!  My daughter helped me get on my new shower seat so I could take my first real shower  I’d  had in the 16 days.  As I sat there with the water just running over me, I cried.  I bawled until there were no more tears.  I washed my hai
