All of the recipes we share are tested by one of the five lovely ladies in the traveling tribe. 

Mediterranean Pasta Salad







The only thing I omit is the onions due to food allergies.  It's still one of my favorite pasta salads.

He knew the way to my heart was at the end of a leash.

My husband and I will have been together for almost 18 years. I met him at my nephew's MX race in 2005. He had just gotten back home from Florida after a serious accident resulted in him almost losing a hand. He had just graduated from MMI, a technical school for motorcycle mechanics. His circle ran pretty close to my nephew’s and he offered to help and be his mechanic during the races. I went to cheer my nephew on. At the end of August, he adopted Lexi and started bringing her to the races. During one of the races my nephew did particularly well and in an act of pure excitement Jeff ran to the pits to congratulate him, leaving poor Lexi tied to the fence. An act I wouldn’t soon let him forget. Over the next few months, he pursued me. Just getting out of a 2-year relationship myself I wasn’t ready for a commitment. Welcome to the Tribe…

​The Traveling Tribe… This tribe is made up of 5 beautiful, inspirational, talented, and empowering women who are all in different stages of life! The tribe is composed of 4 married ladies (all fire/police wives) and one that is almost married.  Some are small business owners, one is a medical professional and also a kickass firefighter, one just left a retail job with over a decade in the field, and another is counting the days till retirement (well all of us are in some way shape, or form), but one definitely can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it ain't no train!  A few ladies have been divorced, we have all had our share of heartbreak, dealt with mental health issues, lost a job or two, some attended college, some raised kids, a few have overcome medical issues, had financial struggles, fought demons and some are still fighting, and one is just a crazy plant lover, and we have all learned a lot along the way.
